Microwave

Healthy soup rich in nutrients and vitamins. Keep us healthy and low fat to drink before meal.

Ingredients

  • 250 gms dried lentils (moong dal),

  • 250 gms spinach, shredded

  • 750 ml water

  • 1 tsp garlic, finely chopped

  • 2 nos. onions, finely chopped

  • 2 tbsp oil

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

  • To taste salt

  • Dal to be washed, soaked for 30 minutes and drained.

Directions

  • In a deep microwave glass bowl, combine the garlic, onion and oil and microwave on medium power for 1 minute.
  • Take care that there is no spillage of water which rises to the top.
  • Mix in the soaked dal and water and microwave on high power for 15 minutes, pausing and stirring after every 3 minutes.
  • Add the spinach, mix well and microwave for 5 minutes.
  • Mix in the lemon juice and salt and microwave for 30 seconds.
  • Leave to stand for 5 minutes before serving.
