How to Make Spinach and Moong Dal Soup

Healthy soup rich in nutrients and vitamins. Keep us healthy and low fat to drink before meal.
Ingredients
250 gms dried lentils (moong dal),
250 gms spinach, shredded
750 ml water
1 tsp garlic, finely chopped
2 nos. onions, finely chopped
2 tbsp oil
2 tbsp lemon juice
To taste salt
- Dal to be washed, soaked for 30 minutes and drained.
Directions
- In a deep microwave glass bowl, combine the garlic, onion and oil and microwave on medium power for 1 minute.
- Take care that there is no spillage of water which rises to the top.
- Mix in the soaked dal and water and microwave on high power for 15 minutes, pausing and stirring after every 3 minutes.
- Add the spinach, mix well and microwave for 5 minutes.
- Mix in the lemon juice and salt and microwave for 30 seconds.
- Leave to stand for 5 minutes before serving.
